The Olympic mascot reflects Brazilian wildlife and is called as Vinicius and is baptized after musician Vinicius de Moraes. The Paralympic mascot is named Tom, represented after the musician Tom Jobim. The logo emblematizes energy, positive nature, spirit and diversity.
Beginning of Olympic 2016
The torch relay starting on 3rd May, 2016 would visit around 300 cities and will act as a tour to visit the cities. The fans for various sports would be keen to know about the tickets. The prices of different sports have been announced and the tickets are to be sold as low as $15. The tickets are available for booking on the Rio 2016 ticket web portal. The whopping event is declared open for everyone so the prices are kept at nominal rate.
The Brazilian fans have applied for the tickets through the 1st draw where the results will be aired in June. The non-Brazilians could buy their tickets through authorized resellers which could be mailed directly or can be collected in hand. The residents of US and Canada could do the same from CoSport for individual tickets.
